About our Congregation
Our Vision: A vibrant church growing in our faith and our relationship with the community.
Our Mission: We are a church growing together in God's abundant grace. We are a giving church, gathering to encourage all to shine out our gifts.
What is PC(USA)?
"For over four centuries, Presbyterians have been responding to the call of Jesus Christ, taking the gospel into the world and bearing witness to Christ’s saving love to the ends of the earth. Today the Holy Spirit is still on the move, calling us to share in what God is doing in the world.
Shaped by its Reformed theology, history, and representational form of leadership, the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) faithfully works to serve Christ in the world through new and existing communities of faith, hope, love, and witness." - PC(USA)
We are a Presbyterian Church U.S.A. congregation serving the Macomb area since June 1832, and was the first church to be established in Macomb, IL. The Church is a member of the Presbytery of Great Rivers and the Synod of Lincoln Trails. An inclusive congregation, we welcome our LGTBQIA+ community members into leadership positions and as members.
Our congregation maintains a long history of supporting community programs, partnership with other congregations in the area, and educational institutions such as Western Illinois University.
We invite you to join us in our worship and work toward a better tomorrow!
As a part of the PC(USA) we live into our heritage by living out the Great Ends of the Church:
1. the proclamation of the Gospel for the salvation of humankind
2. the shelter, nurture, and spiritual fellowship of the children of God
3. the maintenance of divine worship
4. the preservation of the truth
5. the promotion of social righteousness
6. and the exhibition of the Kingdom of Heaven to the world.
