Food for Thought 2013 End of Summer Bash
The First Presbyterian Church and Episcopal Church of St. George wish to announce the Food for Thought After School Program’s End of the Summer Bash on August 9, 2013 from 5:30-7:00pm. The cookout will take place in front of t of the First Presbyterian Church 400 E. Carroll St Macomb, IL 61455. We will be serving up hot dogs, chips, and ice cream sandwiches. We will also be giving away books as part of our 12,000 Books initiative that seeks to give out books free of charge to all children in Macomb.
Food For Thought is an After School program for improving literacy rates and eliminating childhood hunger in Macomb, IL . During the school year, Food for Thought operates a program on Friday Afternoons from 3:30-5:30pm at the First Presbyterian Church for kindergarten through six grade students. Along side our literacy programs we offer a free nutritious dinner and a pack a sack food donation program to both students and their families. Food for Thought is free and open to all families with children in K-6 grades.
