In June of 2006 First Church began a yearlong celebration in honor of its 175 years of existence in Macomb. The year's activities are chronicled below:
April, 2006 – New Directory distributed
June 9, 2006 – Prayer Service to begin our
year-long celebration (7 p.m.)
June 23-24, 2006 - Heritage Days Parade entry and Window on
Square (Macomb’s
first 175 years)
August 20, 2006 – Rev. Chuck Kriner returned to
preach; meal after service
September 10, 2006 – 50+ year members recognized
October 22, 2006 – Rev. Melvin Strain returned to
preach; meal after service
April 20 – 22 – Weekend Celebration of First
